Key Responsibilities
Financial Aid Support
- Guide students and families through the financial aid process, including FAFSA completion and submission of required documentation.
- Review and process aid applications, verify submitted information, and determine eligibility in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records within the financial aid system to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, and in person with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
- Facilitate financial literacy sessions and conduct workshops on scholarships, grants, and loan programs.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and Student Accounts to support timely disbursements and ensure alignment with institutional policies.
- Stay informed of updates to federal and state financial aid regulations and implement best practices in aid administration.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Prior experience in financial aid or student financial services strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Title IV regulations and the FAFSA process.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with student information systems or financial aid software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Service-oriented mindset with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs and institutional priorities.
Additional Information
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time hours. Occasional evenings or early mornings may be required during orientation or graduation.
- Compensation: Hourly; commensurate with experience.
