Key Responsibilities

Financial Aid Support

  • Guide students and families through the financial aid process, including FAFSA completion and  submission of required documentation.
  • Review and process aid applications, verify submitted information, and determine eligibility in accordance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records within the financial aid system to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to student inquiries via phone, email, and in person with clarity, professionalism, and empathy.
  • Facilitate financial literacy sessions and conduct workshops on scholarships, grants, and loan programs.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, and Student Accounts to support timely disbursements and ensure alignment with institutional policies.
  • Stay informed of updates to federal and state financial aid regulations and implement best practices in aid administration.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Prior experience in financial aid or student financial services strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Title IV regulations and the FAFSA process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with student information systems or financial aid software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs and institutional priorities.

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time hours. Occasional evenings or early mornings may be required during orientation or graduation.
  • Compensation: Hourly; commensurate with experience.
